For me personally, it's likely going to be GOTY. I have already put in ~30 hours and it's a straight up 9/10 metroidvania game. I only have very minor complaints and everything else is top tier.
It's gotty of the yotty
GOAT on the boat
It's goated and it's my gotty, your gotty >gotty of the YOTTY
Frankly it's the GOTTY of the DECADE
It's absolvte kinosovl
is this the worst case of "[video game series] fans excited to play [video game series] game for the first time?
I remember Hollow Knight being popular but certainly not to this degree
>Elden Ring is hard as fuck >People praise the game and tell others to git gud >SilkSong is hard as fuck >People are crying left & right and claim that it shouldn't be hard
What's the difference?

Retards like you hurl out the word "masterpiece" for any game they remotely enjoy. Its rendered the word meaningless, because any and all flavor of the month garbage is a "masterpiece" as far as you mouthbreathers are concerned.
>>720086637
Elden Ring fans played the game because the gameplay looked fun while Silksong fans only pretended to be hyped for the game to not feel left out of the conversation
>>720086098 >chinese mad about bad translation
Man, I beat Lobotomy Corporation with the original nonsensical English translation and didn't bitch. Chinks are such weaklings.
>>720087387 >lobotomy
Every games translation is fucked for lobotomy. I tried playing it in jp a few weeks ago and the game still uses chinese font for jp
>>720087196 >>720087290 >non-sequitur about the difficulty
You really are retarded, aren't you? For fucks sake, my post should have been easy enough for you to understand, but I guess zoomers obsessed with this flash game garbage really are little minds.

People know what to expect from FromSoft; Silksong's hype was mostly bandwagoning. Also I suspect people had more tolerance for open-world games compared to Metroidvania.

To be fair... Hollow Knight has been out for a long time, and has been part of several sales where you could get it for dirt cheap. So it's not unthinkable that bunch of people who played it and liked it got caught up in the hype and wanted to buy sequel to game they remember liking.
>>720088416 >Silksong's hype was mostly bandwagoning
true but also 90% of bosses in HK are easy and all u have to do is just ram and kill in 1-3 tries
in silksong they made you kill a boss to unlock fast travel and the boss already is harder than entire half of HK combined
>>720086637
HK doesn’t get relatively hard until the mantis lords, where 70% of the people who tried the game out never got to that point. Silksong’s 2nd boss is already hard plus everything hits for 2 hearts. Having to incorporate tools makes it harder too

silksong doesn't have a tenth of elden ring's choice in build and exploration, you don't even have to fight anything in elden ring until Leyndell
