I have no idea. Apparently a good chunk of the script was left out and was included in hand in killer7 instead.

I always feel like these types of games are not tied in the most easy consumable way. It's quarky nature could bring more mass appeal if there was more context within the design and explaining what is actually happening to the player.

The only thing I would do is give the Handsome Men and Emir Parkreiner fights some actual substance instead of being glorified cutscenes. The game is otherwise pitch-perfect, do not fucking touch it.

Killer 7 doesn't really make a lot of sense. Their world building is pretty vague.
But then No More Heroes is like the more refined version of the intention instead of one person that's several assassins it's one dude vs several assasins and there's actual story telling, world building and actual pacing.
Shadows of the Damned, despite most of it not taking place in the living world we are still explained visually and verbally why things are happening and why things work the way they do.
Let it Die, again, makes sense because they explain why things are "odd"
Lolipop Chainsaw, another example of a very simplistic Buffy the Vampire slayer with tongue and cheek crude satire. Again, explains to us why things are going on like they are.

The average gamer isn't just cut out for this, they can't pay attention to absolutely nothing or be bothered to think about abstract concepts and ideas for enjoyment and have to be treated like toddlers from /co/. That's why things like Devil May Cry 3 or early God of War for example are a more fitting style, just a dumb fun epic adventure with crazy cool shit happening on the screen. There's no way that a game like Killer7 will ever be made today, and Suda has given up completely about it.

I really just think this is not your kind of game or story anon, that's the nicest way I can put it. Killer7 is written to look like a bunch of crazy bullshit but there IS enough world building and clues in the game that you the player are supposed to put together to figure it out which is part of the fun. Have you ever seen Eraserhead or read House of Leaves? Similar sort of intentions behind the way those stories are told. No More Heroes is written straight forward because it's not the same type of story, it's a parody.

I remember there feeling like there was just a huge gap between a couple levels after Ulmeyda is killed, it's been a while since I played though. I wish that certain characters were rebalanced a bit, once you got lock on with like Con, you had the fastest character with the most shots that could easily instakill any trash mob and then Mask could take care of the stronger enemies. And probably making a proper hard mode instead of just using Harmon to plow through everything

i had a gcn, but did not play killer7 until this year. ive just always had it on the back log. compared to a lot of the modern games indie-aaa, it was a nice change of pace. you could feel the love for the game, they took a chance to change things up and i think it worked. you could look back on it and say yeah add this, change that, more experiences here, but that seems to be every game now. add everything you can but excel at nothing
