Well I'll tell you what, the only one I played (and am going to play) was DK and that didn't stack up to shit.
I can't imagine any of the other games are better though, new games pretty much suck total ass (not in the sexy hot butt ass sucking kind of way that you zoomer rascals are into).

Yeah but that happened too early in the year, and there's tons of friendslop stuff that got a lot more focus than SF did. Right now I'd say Peak has a higher chance of getting nominated than SF

Split Fiction was amazing and even replayable by switching roles that it stays fresh and unique
I think like It Takes Two, SF will take it again for Hazelight.

Nothing on the left has any chance whatsoever for GOTY. Two sequels to shit nobody cares about and DLC. I assume Split Fiction wasn't as good as It Takes Two, but Fares makes good games so there's a chance. Bananza got cucked coming out the same year as E33, but it'd still be an uphill battle because Snoy usually buys the awards. E33 is winning and it's a 100% guarantee.

I would replace Split Fiction with Avowed personally

Nah, but it was a pretty good year. I was very pleasantly surprised by how good Clair Obscur was. The battle system in that game is awesome.

Death Stranding 2 was my favorite new game this year, though. Hardly a surprise. I'm a pretty shameless Kojima fanboy.

The only game I played this year was the MGS3 remake. It’s a little janky with the controls but I like it.

Ghost of Tsushima lost the GOTY to The Last of Us 2. It's easy to see where they're going.

The only good games on here are silksong and donkey kong. It's almost as terrible a lineup as the year that It Takes Two won and that deadloop or whatever game was getting 10s for no reason. And if parryshart 33 wins, it'll be the second worst GOTY winner at Geoff's show after TLOU2.
