you need to be a turbo autist to be a sonic fan
if you channel all your available autism into that, it only makes sense that there's no autism left to devote to speedrunning on top of that

They dont lend themselves that well to speedruns.

2D games tend to be entirely about clipping into the level causing a level wrap that dumps you right at the end.

3D games fair a bit better.
