You buy the hardware that offers you the best performance per dollar in the price bracket that you look at, you select few candidates and then look at other things like: noise, power consumption, features, hardware compatibility, RMA policy etc.
Then you look up online the reputation/ volume of rmas for said brand/product.
That's it. I've never fanboyed for a brand, bought nvidia and amd gpus if they made sense.
