its pretty cool but im bad i died at the first non-tutorial mission at those train tracks and gave up

the enemies seem to do a shitload of damage and i'm not confident i can stay out of their range after attacking them. not sure what angles to approach from or how to space units. one of my guys stepped on fire and it hurt him wtf

Rookies in OG X-COM could, too, but no one ever called it an RPG. None of the developers ever called it an RPG, either.

I didn't hate it but I still thought the first one was better.

>restarting if your hero unit gets damaged

It's not even in the top 5 of it's own franchise. It flopped so bad that Firaxis had to reassign the team to other games, which in turn ended with them laying everyone off after another flop. They then went all-in on Civilization, which is now flopping, leading them to laying off their "A team".
