His appearance in Daredevil season 2 is very good. His actual Punisher show was mediocre to say the least.

He's good in Daredevil Born Again but it's very obvious they were part of the extensive reshoots and you'll notice right away lots of things don't add up. They did make him part of the season 2 cliffhanger though so clearly they're aiming to make him a bigger deal in that.

I think the explanation is Marvel comics are shit mainstream American comics and comics in general are losing to manga so Disney/Marvel is looking for cash grabs with the products they put out.
