Turok has never been good. Always thought it was lame shit with bad controls. The first Doom has better gunplay mechanics and flow than Turok. And frankly while there was too much Dino Media during that decade most of it is terrible. Turok included.

Will never understand why the cultists pretend Turok is this big deal. It wasn't. And more amazed it had so many sequels.

Turok was fucking awesome back in the day. Sadly Turok Shadow of Oblivion came out at the tail end of the N64's lifespan and that wet fart of a GameCube game, means we never got to conclude the story.. Sorry Adon.

There are good ones.

I played both 1 and 2 when the remasters came out, and they're both square in the "fine" territory. Even though I like the look of a lot of the levels, especially in 2, the level design itself is frequently ass. And while some of the weapons are fun, many of them are serviceable and nothing more. 1 especially had the issue of having too many fucking weapons. I wish we'd get a new game that takes the best parts of Turok and does away with all the garbage, because I won't be replaying either

Very badly. There has been two attempts at Turok reboots over the years. One was that shitty Gears of War knock-off for the 360, and the other was a dogshit comic by Chuck "Fuck the Internet Archive" Wendig. Nobody will get Turok right until they remember that what made Turok so enduring back in the day was that he embodied the extreme spirit of the 90s. Everything boys thought was cool was in Turok. Dinosaurs. Aliens. Robots. Hot babes. Muscular dudes with guns. It was all in Turok. Sadly, nobody in the industry understands this. They insist that Turok has to match the aesthetic of the time, or have some shitty message about the plight of Native Americans. No! All Turok needs is to follow the rule of cool and make the player feel like a bad-ass as they plow through bad-ass shit with big-ass guns. Simple as.
