BL3 really was the thing that killed it for me. No soul, no direction, awful characters with no redeeming ones to speak of. People shit on BL2 for humor but there were at least some half funny things amongst the cringe. There was nothing remotely funny about BL3. The lore was completely fucked and they had the audacity to say they had a "loremaster" now when there were blatant fucking retcons. Tannis lands on Pandora saying that the vault was a myth perpetuated by inbred retards. But then in BG3 its revealed she always looked up to the "first vault hunter" faggot since childhood? Huh?

Even the gameplay felt boring. I dont give a fuck if its more "balanced", the game never felt chaotic like BL1/2. It just felt fucking generic. Its fucking dead to me.

What takes up massive amount game storage is unoptimized texture sizes, the same voice clips but in 50 languages and unoptimized sounds.
FMV movies were the culprit at one point.
Most people are still retarded and think more used storage is more game when 60-80 hour rpgs were 300 mb at one point

Why can't games just release with compressed assets by default, then add the uncompressed assets as free DLC? Borderlands 2 did it.

Compression is a performance tax. Uncompressed textures can be loaded more quickly. Audio is ackshually compressed, but they use lossless methods, so it still ends up being big.
