This game is a hot topic but seriously, everyone who hates it is being a contrarian. It's got some of the best gameplay of the tank era. Great level design and range of enemies. Also, it’s the only classic RE in 3D aside shit like Outbreak. Perhaps the only downsides I could think of is that it is way too easy with the ammo drops and the knife hitting on every frame. I beat this puppy as a kid and didn't even think anything of it, yet it somehow has this reputation of being frustrating? Fuck I don't know how you can play RE1 and then say the item location's and objectives in this game are confusing. I'll defend this game because I think if a lot of you actually went into the game you'd like it.

I'm replaying it right now after like 15 years, the games is fine my only problem with are respawning enemies and the amount of backtracking
Outbreak with friends it's still the best 3d fixed camera RE game

CV is probably the biggest filter in the franchise. It’s hard so naturally a lot of people says it’s bad.

When I played this as a kid, I had just finished RE3. CVX was the most frustrating and unpleasant game I have ever played. So many restarts, so much time wasted simply getting to the plane and dying repeatedly from the tyrant. Sold the game without completing it, until 5 years later.

My brother wanted to try it again, and it was more of the same. However we eventually beat the game. In the midst of the chaos, I appreciated the mess, and speed running is enjoyable once you find your bearings. However, getting through the first play through is a chore. This game has been long overdue for a remake.
