Assassin's Creed Shadows isn't a bad game - it's a misunderstood gem. it's meant to be played on nightmare difficulty with the HUD off, and no map/objective scouting. played this way, it becomes more of an immersive sim where you have to piece together the clues to receive about each target and identify where they're going to be. and since stealth and combat actually become much harder, you actually have to fully utilize your stealth kit and learn enemy timings. you actually start learning the map, the paths, the castles, and the towns. it becomes a very rewarding experience. the issue is that ubisoft hides this experience under a layer of bullshit that you have to manually remove and adjust
