It's like a crumbly cookie that soaks up every bit of moisture in your mouth. It's moderately hard on theoutside, but when you bite it turns into a dusty consistency. You feel like you have to drink something otherwise it sticks in your gums and the back of your teeth. better to nibble than take big bites.

personally i['m a fan of lenny and larry's ultimate cookie as they have a similar taste and nutritional content to CM but are soft and less dry. still recommend a drink with it.

I tried the chocolate version, like chalky nesquick. At msrp in japan I can definitely see the appeal of having something cheap you can down quickly to feel full. At prices here its basically equivalent to other overpriced protein bars

In Delta, you can basically savescum auto saves and you can play New Game+ from any difficulty to any other difficulty, so you can bring back all the camos and items.
I just finished a playthrough on PC last week and you have plenty of time, even for some backtracking.
MK22 suppressors become non issue after the Pain fight, since you can get suppressor in the optional area where you get SVD, the warehouse after the part where you can kill The End, and there's another suppressor on the 2nd floor of Graniny Gorki lab. And all of these respawn after you get a cutscene with Granin.

After some boss fights it's worth backtracing to get some MK22 ammo.

Just make sure to bring something poisonous or spoiled for The Fear.

I might be wrong, but Ocelot and Volgin 1 can be beaten lethal.

If you caught all the GAKOs, the new item is basically octocamo with 95% camo index, and it doesn't even count as special item, so you can basically cheat everything that isn't boss fight or prison escape.

In MGS1 and 2 they're your life recovery, you open the item menu and hover over them and press A/X, if you have them equipped they will be automatically used when you reach zero HP.

If you mean in MGS3/Delta they have been changed to just a regular food item, you eat them like any other food, "life medicine" now fufills the same function that rations did in the old games

They taste fine. I bought a few on a Japan trip years back. They’re just small bars of shortbread, flavored based on color. Black is cheese, red is chocolate, and blue is vanilla.
