It was fun playing through the story with a friend, but once you're sent into "open farming" and subsequent seasons where you just skip the main story that you only ever need to see once (and in many cases can only ever do once), leveling up again and the grind is just awful.
Did they ever fix the level scaling so that you didn't immediately get weaker upon level up?

I don't really care about endgame I finished D3 campaign maybe played a few hours of endgame and then quit. Is it worth buying this on discount and doing the same?

I think Diablo IV is a really good game.

Those two voice actors, the main character and the old guy, they’re carrying the entire game.
The antagonists are interesting, it actually makes me stop and read lore in the world.

The combat is frenetic too. It really makes you focus in on higher difficulties and there’s this zone you slip into to really concentrate when taking out mobs.

And the builds and stuff man, there’s so much voice and stats there, it’s crazy.

The only bad things I’d say about the game is that most bosses feel underwhelming and that the horse camera is too zoomed in. Darksiders Genesis fixed that issue already.

It’s genuinely a 9/10 game. Really good stuff. I’m guessing all the issues people have with it are from the endgame content, which I can’t comment on.

Yeah, as a Diablo game it sucked ass (and still sucks ass) but as an ARPG party game its a great evolution from games like Gauntlet.

The only thing that is currently holding the game back IMO (besides not being actively developed on anymore) is that the console versions of the game are just better, if they just bite the bullet and add all of the console gimmicks, controller support along with the couch COOP and make the game playable offline I would actually recommend it at full price to people.

I'd argue the same for D2:R, the only real selling point for the remake is that it has controller support on PC and it has better graphics that makes the game more easily readable at a glance, but the PC version is hamstrung by their shitty "always online" bullshit and for the fact that the original game still got MUCH better community support thanks to mods that honestly are more like new expansion packs.

I've always thought that the control scheme for the genre is retarded, especially now that pretty much every modern game supports WASD, controllers or both.
It's like all of the purists finally snapped out of whatever nostalgia-educed delirium they were in and realized that a game giving you CTS at record speeds isn't a good way or even a decent way to play a game and that the gameplay actually becomes more diverse if your able to move AND aim at the same fucking time instead of whipping the mouse back and fourth like your trying to give your wrists whiplash.
