I don't know about the latest edition of WoD but back then a vampire couldn't spend a lot of time outside of the appearance they had when they were embraced. Ofcourse, if the implants were forcibly placed in their skin and then stitched its not like they'll come out on their own so probably there'd be some kind of drive for the particular kindred to want to remove them and return to their default appearance.

Its been over 12 years since I last read any of these rules though so someone more versed in lore and V:tM rules should feel welcome to shit all over what's probably entirely wrong with my post.

Previously I invested lightly in bloodpacks because I never really needed them in the game and dominate is OP. You can very easily create a build that is the polar opposite of what's suited for the sewers by accident.

Pre-Embrace? Sure. Post-Embrace? Uhm... I'd say that it depends. If fully healed after the surgery then implants would stay in, at least for some time. Pretty sure that eventually the vampire body would expel the foreign object one way or the other. Tzimisce could do it permanently, but then they can make boobs bigger without implants.

If they could adapt and grow and evolve the way living creatures do, it wouldnt be a curse, so theyre stuck being the same vitae-infused corpse they were when they died, forever. Thats why achieving golconda is so difficult, i t s exceptionally difficult for a vamp to change their ways in ANY way, let alone one that contradicts the very nature of the curse of vampirism.

Samantha isn't a "girlfriend", she's a girl who's a friend. The point of that encounter is that you were good friends with people who are able to attend the grand opening of an upscale restaurant, who are empathetic, outgoing, and taking good care of themselves. You jumped from Downtown, where most vampire clans are plotting to use you, to Hollywood. Hollywood has this tremendous melancholy because, in-universe, Toreador like Abrams, Ash, and Velvet are close to their humanity. It's why Ash has severe depression, Velvet implores you to not kill anyone, and Abrams doesn't make fast moves to try and win you over to his barony and keeps warning you about LaCroix. It's why the music in the background is sad, just a lonely electric guitar.

Hollywood, and the encounter with Samantha, is a reminder that being a vampire is a curse. You can NEVER go back to what you once were. You can NEVER have real friends again, because everyone you will meet going forward is dealing with Jyhad, the Beast, and foregoing real companionship, always asking "what can this person do for me so I survive one more night?"

Samantha making a phone call to others that you're alive is a Masquerade violation not just because she told others where you are, but because, to the Camarilla, your refusal to put her down or otherwise stop her means you carry the risk of exposing your vampirism to your old life. You're too attached to your past and can't let go.

This is true for actual life as well though? Everyone is busy with corporate ladder climbing, networking, politicking to get further in life, most relationships are out of convenience or for (indirect) personal benefits rather than genuine connection and companionship. Just replace Jyhad with machiavellian politics by elites, "the beast" with human greed (in the generic sense, not just for money)

I know most of this is on purpose and the vampire setting is mostly working as an amplification of the bad habits of humans, but to make it seem as if VtMB is some sad setting or game is too much, either you're too idealistic about real life and don't recognize how similar it is, or you perceive VtMB as way darker than it is.
