Why did I think this was a Kojima-style photorealistic render of Krysten Ritter from the thumbnail

congratulations, you have prosopagnosia.
It is a comedy in the classical sense. A divine comedy. The villain sacrificed himself for the greater good, and in doing so causes a time loop that is responsible for splitting off into every other FF title. It's such an insane narrative and they decided to write it like a straightforward edgelord fanfiction from 2004. There is a purity to this games script that is completely lost in the world today.

I'm pretty sure the only timelines caused by Jack's actions are FF1 and maybe Dissidia

Largely the reason why it didn't sell. The Uncharted crowd hates this stuff and everything else Nomura makes. I think they were the same people who made fun of Xion's death.

This doesn't make any sense even with the context of the post you're replying to. Are you high?

Now I wonder what would have happened if Versus 13 released the way he intended it to be

Yeah, the sincerity is too much for my subhuman brain. I need a character to wink at the screen and say "umm... that just happened?"
