they plop in and hold well for me.
they come with a little magnetic plunger thing to remove them.
the buttons are very loud though. especially when you release the clacking is way louder than in other pads. I think thats because of this magnetic gimmick.
I think it wouldve been better without it, but I do like having SNES color buttons.

I really do not understand the point of swappable buttons.
Do motherfuckers really look down at their controller to see which button they are pressing??
>>720193602 (OP)
Its a great pad and the one I will use the most now.
Perfect shape, really good d-pad, trigger lock is HUGE and so is the dongle and charging dock.
Only flaws are the loud long travel face buttons and the analogs are pretty damn mediocre shape and texture wise. Can probably fix that with a rubber cover just gotta figure out which one fits.

works on my machine, but I mostly play fighters with stick anyways.
the general issue with D-pad talk and recommendations is that its incredibly subjective because everybody holds and uses the d-pad a little bit differently.
>>720196828
The extra buttons really are handy, even if they are in less than ideal places. I do wish the two rear buttons were back triggers instead though.

I got the GameSAAR G7Pro recently, fantastic controller. Rubber grips, extra buttons on the back and the top, 8bitdo style controller dock with the dongle inside, and three different d-pad styles. My only gripe is the cross pattern d-pad is just... open? Like it leaves the inside of the gamepad exposed. Do not like that one bit.

NTA but I have it, trust me when I say it only "looks" cheap, it's a very well built controller. The only reason I had to give mine back is because it wouldn't play ball with my PC for some dumb reason. Neither the dongle nor the Bluetooth option seemed to work, and I didn't want to be tethered with a cable. That's why I shifted to >>720197513
>>720198072
why? I looked at some reviews and the things people complained about were:
>120Hz polling rate >defective face button microswitches >compatibility issues with original hardware
The only thing that could be an issue for me out of those would be the defective face buttons, but it was $30 on aliexpress so I figured it's worth a shot even if I have to crack it open to fix the switches eventually.
As a big racism fan hall effect triggers are a real blessing for sensitivity as the mechanical stress of (generally) the right trigger being pressed so much loosens the spring tension due to simple wear yet responsiveness and sensitivity is kept. Even more so if said controller has software that can set the actuation point so the veeeery tiniest touch at the start of the pressure curve can be turned into a deadzone if needed.

Only issue I had was ffxiv after a while the sticks would stop working but only in the up-right direction. Was weird thought it was defective but it only did it in ffxiv. Turns out there was a stick sensitivity setting in xiv and turning it up to max fixed it. No idea why it did that.

For me I use them for Screenshot, and certain extra tasks in games like FFXIV. Honestly I will also mention that having an Xbox controller sucks even a 3rd party one because both no matter how much you turn gamebar off on Windows even uninstall it, it will take a screenshot on Steam and Gamebar will show itself again.
>>720198095
I went through four of these because every single one developed double d-pad input. I don't want to hear "stop mishandling your controllers." I never throw them, never drop them, never mistreat them in anyway.
>PS2 controller from 2002 still works >OG Xbox controller from 2004 still works >Xbox 360 controller from 2007 still works >PS3 controller from 2008 still works
Yet the XSX controller shat its pants so many times I ended up going shifting to SAAR DO NOT REDEEM THE GAME controllers.

I got this to upgrade from my 360 wired controller, playing Silksong on it feels great. Using the dpad only and diagonals are very reliable, I also use the rapid switch on L2/R2 for quicker dashes.
The face buttons are loud, that's my only complaint.
>>720199245
I hope they revise the memegnetic buttons I dont think that feature is important enough to justify the loudness of them.
If they do address this in a revision I will start stockpiling these pads because its great otherwise.
>>720197513 >My only gripe is the cross pattern d-pad is just... open?
It is retarded. Still you can get a regular G7 faceplate and put it on the pro thus solving the regular dpad issue.
>>720199245
i upgraded to this from the Ultimaye 2 from also a 360 wired controller, i was playing dbfz pretty okay on the 360 and both of these had dpads that were not for unclean input boomers like me
>>720201110
random aliexpress trash, mainly for microsoft flight simulator, makes precise inputs easier, at least for me, but now im using it without caps playing first hollow knight and its fine
Why is it so fucking hard for companies to even make a half decent dpad? It's like a lost art at this point. Even Nintendo, who perfected it, can't even do it anymore.
>>720203018 >Even Sega, who perfected it, can't even do it anymore.
ftfy, otherwise check out hori fighting commander octa, it has a good dpad and I use it for any 2d game except fightan because I got an arcade stick for that
>>720193602 (OP)
Did they improve the ergonomics from the Pro 2?
It just doesnβt feel comfortable to me
The ultimate 2 feels much better to me but then I lose symmetrical sticks
>>720203181
I don't understand the accent lighting shit. You're not looking at the controller while you're playing, so all it really does is just pointlessly drain the battery.
