I'm already late into Act 2 and these seem like reasonable changes to me.
I found Moorwing straightforward enough, but was surprised by ho wmuch health it had so I'd hope they nerfed his health more than anything. I've since learnt Moorwing is a very glichty fight that can easily get stuck in the open area you encounter him in, maybe that's being addressed by this patch too.

Sister Splinter did feel a bit too tough for an early game boss, it's like the 4th boss you fight and it's a significant step up in difficulty for the time you encounter it. I think a lot of players haven't quite grasped their silk abilities yet when they face it, and some may not even have a good weapon tool equipped yet either.

Sister Splinter felt really easy for me. Just walk back and forth to evade its ground slams, cut the thorns, and kill the adds as they spawn in. Weird that so many people had trouble with it.

Yeah she was super easy to me too, Thread Storm just completely destroy the fight. Maybe there's a path/sequence that lead up to her when you don't have Thread Storm, maybe that's why people are struggling with her so much?

If you don't beat have the achievements before the patch you will never beat the game, better get to it.

I didn't have much trouble with her even without thread storm. The adds seemed overwhelming, but she can kill them with her attacks so your attention is never really split between them and the boss. Once she starts attacking you she pretty much always ends up killing any of the flying leaf guys you didn't manage to kill yet.

I was able to get to Shellwood from the wormways. But I don't think most people are going that way since you have to grab the simple key. Honestly Splinter's adds are more troublesome than her once you figure out her pattern.

If you got stuck and went exploring you would eventually skip it even playing blind. That's essentially what happened to me. I stumbled on the boss, didn't want to fight it yet, so I ran away and kept exploring. And before I knew it, I'd skipped it.

This is why I'm for just having difficulty settings in the first fucking place.

By trying to use a single difficulty to "gatekeep" your cool hardcore games, you risk shit like this happening that dumbs down the game for everyone forever. Instead of casuals playing the game casually and challenge seekers getting their challenge, you shove challenge down casual throats until it's removed as an option and forces casual mode on everybody.

Dark Souls was a fucking disaster for player choice and modular difficulty settings, and shit like this is the price. It'll keep happening too.

I don't think I had it on her. The needle throw oneshots her adds to so it's not to bad. The hard part for people is actually integrating those abilities into their fighting. A lot of people will just ignore the tools/silk abilities until the game clubs them over the head and forces them.

no. the problem is twofold:
devs not balancing their shit properly, alienating people too much because they made the game actually frustrating, not just challenging.
and devs caving to normie demand, wether the demand has justification or not.

there is also the third problem of devs then rebalancing their game in a worse way.
most difficulty problems and frustrations people have with this could be solved by adding a bench in front of the boss arena or very close by.
the runbacks in this game are pure tedium and wasting my time. the one in sands of karak for example was egregious

That was the easiest boss of the game for me.
Its attacks are very well telegraphed and easy to dodge. The hardest part is just anticipating where to land as platforms are destroyed. It's more a platforming challenge than an actual boss

I decided to use the streams because the boss was taking too long (10 minutes or so) and then saw the explosives...

I don’t think a developer should ever compromise their vision in favor of “general audiences” but on the other hand way too many people have their entire personalities entwined with the difficulty of the game. Lest I sound like a fence sitting faggot, both sides are equally annoying

Same experience. I think a lot of people were just trying to no life the game over the weekend, tired themselves out, and failed to read cues or study boss moves. Everything in the game is very readable if you take your time with it.

who cares you heal for 3. you get so much silk while exploring and there's lots of free enemies that respawn. during bosses you can just zerg most of them, after you get hit you can get like 3-4 hits during your iframes which is half of a heal. people complaining about the damage are retarded. if you took 1 from everything and healed for 3 it would be waaaaaaaaay too easy. most bosses are like 3-5 attempts tops anyway unless you're just a pooshitter
