How to save Rivals
1 .Cut back on the monetization. No, there does not need to be 3 mini passes active at the same time on top of the normal battlepass. Just put the fucking skins in the store.
2. Make cool skins. Not just coomer skins. Make more of the skins effect the visuals of abilities.
3. Add characters that people actually fucking like. Characters that would get people hyped beyond being excited about the porn that is to come. The rumors of Rogue and Gambit are good choices, but characters like Doom, Deadpool, Thanos, and Carnage would get people to come back to at least try them.
4. Make Vanguards feel more tanky. Most of them die just as fast as DPS
5. Drop the use of FOMO. This is not the 2010s, Most people are now aware of the tactic and don't get effected by it nearly as much. In fact it's more likely to cause people to just drop the game for one reason or another.
6. Have more ways to earn things though game play that are not tied to limited time events. Like emotes/skins/taunts/MVPs. Heroes of the Storm HAD the perfect system. When you reached the highest level with a character, you would be given a "Master Skin"

Overwatch formula just isn't fun, I finished BP of S0 and S1 but all my time playing I wished it was a more laid back experience like something like BF, Planetside, Dirty Bomb, Tribes etc. instead of a 6v6 hellscape with enforced meta and focus on ultimates.
