A lot of his "good ideas" are entirely built from his perspective of a wealthy man who grew up in an upper middle class family and who has only ever met other generally well off people. His idea of "don't change the world unless your house is in order" is obviously him pushing his politics. It completely ignores that some people's houses aren't in order because the world is an unfair and cruel place and modern society actively goes out of its way to make things worse for them.
