I'd want a port of 1 and 2 to PC before a 4th game, no idea what the plot could be though, they didn't give a shit about Cole' sacrifice in the good ending when making second son.
I think a sequel spinning off of the bad ending from 2 would be cool, Cole becomes the new beast kinda
the game could have you and your town get nuked by cole, you awaken as a conduit, but your family is all gone, so in anger you try to fight cole in anger in the beginning, he beats the shit out of you but spares because you're one of his folk, and you flee to a FAR away city. Now you get a "the beast" timer except its fucking COLE this time, imagine that shit.
Not every conduit activated is gonna side with cole, some of them either join him and are either arriving with his timer, or you'd fight 1 or 2 who travel ahead to scout for cities for cole
or you find fellow conduits who are hiding in the same city you're in, hiding from cole, they don't want to join because he blew up their homes and family, but they also can't fight back and are afraid, you either team up with them, or go evil karma, have your own story in that city before you leave near the end of the game to confront cole, maybe with your own group to fight him, or just alone, to join him, i dont know though, I don't like never meeting cole properly until the end of the game, maybe he can appear around like John does in infamous 2 just to walk around the city, talk to you, have some side motives he wants to complete
and the karma mechanic would work here into an ending of whether or not you join cole, maybe you somehow usurp him too or something
all I'm saying is the bad ending would've been far more interesting
