Wii can play gc games and emus at 240p
Xbox is kino for 6th gen multiplats, wish it had a few more exclusives though

I don't get it. Library is mostly multi-plats and it can't run any moderately heavy games above 1080p without proto-DLSS. For older games just use your phone.

yes but they're easier to get going on PS4, just torrent, FTP to the console and install. no waiting for fitgirl releases to unpack, no fiddling with settings to dial in performance (outside of forcing 30fps caps with goldHEN plugins which involves adding a line to an ini file), all of this Just Works™. also, cheats.

I just got one myself, $100. Got a PSVR for another $40. Should keep me occupied until I can get a PS6 for the same price. On top of that is all the free entertainment at /r/ps4homebrew with all the zoomers asking retarded questions about optical drives and burning discs.

I would argue that PS3 is the best Sony modded console, since you play every Playstation game from that gen and before (PS3, PS2, PS1 and PSP (haven't tested that)).
Basically, back when Sony was good

Wii U is the best Nintendo modded console since you play every game Nintendo has made from that gen and before it (minus the 3DS). It's pretty neat how you can use the stylus to have similar experience when emulating DS games

Xbox 360 is pretty good too, lets you play every Xbox 360 and (almost) all of OG Xbox games

You still have to launch it at boot but the 12.02 one copies the contents of the USB drive to the system on first boot, so you can just leave the launcher disc in the drive and run the player (it comes up as a Blu Ray movie) each time you have to reboot

Yeah, that's the one issue. I tried DVDs and they don't work. The PS4 disc drive doesn't acknowledge the existence of CDs. You WILL need a Blu Ray
