Outer Science, Yobanashi Decieve, Headphone Actor, and Kagerou Daze were my shit back then. The story of KagePro isn't even that good so it's carried entirely on music
Granted I do like the Mekaku City actor versions for some of the songs, like Lost Time Memory or Summer Time Record. The latter in particular is really nice since it's Jin himself singing it
He's had good stuff since as well, just flips between self-vocals and vocaloid. Guru and Summering were both great

I don't disagree. 2011-2013 was the height of Vocaloid popularity on niconico but mostly because of a few overarching projects. When they fizzled out in 2014-2015 the traffic took a nosedive. If you watched the weekly rankings, the numbers were night and day.

At least for me, Suzumu's disappearance was also largely responsible.

The stories in the lyrics are interesting, but it's not something that puts together very well. Not sure I ever finished the manga, but I do remember the anime wasn't great, even besides the "production values"

I've accepted that we're never getting another PD. Mods for MM+ are great though, I've put in about 500 hours in, this year alone. I wanted to reach 1000 songs in time for Miku's birthday, but couldn't make it.

It's such a sadness to know that we could be playing super cool Miku games of all genres right now but Crypton and Sega are content to just crank out low-effort puzzle games, gacha shit, and crossover appearances forever.
