poison lets you play like a bitch AND win easy, since its damaging for you while you cower away.
Poison would be fine if it worked only when you hit aggressively enough or if it didnt apply on tools as well as it did, like if you needed buildup to proc it
that way poison is a reward for playing well, that lets you chill out a bit after.

the only balance it has is players running out of shards if they spam too hard.

You don't need it at all. But I very much like using it for my initial playthrough so that I can more accurately learn and memorize not only the exact in-game locations of items, enemies, and events, but also their exact map locations.

It's not like being off by some margin of error percent is that big of a deal. Especially if you can still navigate the actual in-game terrain correctly as you see it in-game. But knowledge being exact is still a boon to your benefit.

Hey retardo, you get the act 2 announcement and cutscene regardless of which way you enter the Citadel. Phantom is one of those ways. The Last Judge will even leave if you fuck off away from the Grand Bellway and start exploring. You can even get the Act 2 cutscene from Phantom, then go back and kill Last Judge and enter "properly" and get the cutscene again.

Poison wasn’t even that good against last judge. Still had to fight her for a good bit.

Beast mode is active for like 5 seconds, charms are constant. Shattered mask is great, but we don't have to argue about that as i named 4 example charms and most crests can equip only three anyways. Having only one blue slot means that beast is going to choose two of the following: have shittier range, generate less silk, and tools do less damage. Any combination of these will result in better survivability and dps over having access to beast mode.

Depends on how many punish windows the boss has. It sucks against flying enemies and bosses like Groal because they'll always try and stay out of range, and occasionally charge/drift towards you unexpectedly. Because Wanderer's range is so short, this means you have less time to reaction dodge. If you isolate punish windows though, Wanderer's DPS eclipses other crests.
