one of the best times i decided to attack a furry server was when they took my wheelchair that i spawned with and said i didnt need it since i had a prostetic leg. they threw me from the chair and stole it to give to medical.

i stole a firesuit and then bashed in the windows to medbay and stole my chair back, then smashed a window to the "super epic not stupid" plasma flooded world the station was built on. they tried to taze me while i was surrounded by gas, but the code for the chair made me unstunable, and the firesuit code was either old, or broken and made me immune to fire and atmos damage.

the HoS tried to taze me, couldent stun me, set the room on fire(myself included), and then was promtly hit on the head with a fire extinguisher and dragged into the inferno.

i took out most of the station after i got his tazer and it took an admin to interviene for the rampage to stop. i got let off with a warning for some reason, and then got banned when i force fed someone a rat on the next round.

Randy has very little to do with this. I was there at the start of Lifeweb way back in 2014 when Interzone was just kicking off. But my differentiation is erp as a way to push actual roleplay or to do something interesting that may contribute to a round most basic example being the princess caught fucking a knight and this leads to drama with the king/royal family/nobles etc and erp which is just hitting someone up a tranime faggot on discord and then vanishing for 3 hours behind a locked door despite playing an important role of some kind and thusly contributing nothing.

The problem with my example though is that erp is so widespread and common on the current Hub servers like Scarlet Reach that public displays of indecency don't get so much as a raised brow. The Princess can fuck around to her hearts content and nobody cares. She can get naked in the court, pull out a massive horse dong and cum on a servant and barely get a reaction (I've seen this happen). It's erp for the sake of erp. It's boring. That's why these servers are boring. It's the most dull people imaginable with no creativity or just about anything happening in any given round.

I only ever played /vg/ and life web back when it came out. I wonder what did I miss from not playing other servers. /vg/ had the perfect balance of RP and gameplay for me anyway so it's not like I really wanted anything else.
Last time I played, I mostly mained medical so I could keep Medway running and try to be the person keeping the station together. The game was most fun when it was chaotic and fast. I tried to intentionally avoid combat and conflict, just wanted to play as a medic who couldn't defend himself. But I sometimes got really mad when it felt like other people were sabotaging my job for no good reason.
Also I miss the time in the internet before everyone in here was obsessed with trannies.

Honestly this is the real problem. Admins in RP servers often just step in to do jobs that other players in the game should be doing. Non-antag going around doing antag stuff? That's what station security is for. Admins should really only step in for stuff that only admins can handle, like meta stuff (People carrying grudges between rounds, exploits) or if someone has disrupted a round beyond any role's ability to repair it. People say "Someone should just make a good RP server" but the issue with that is most sane people have jobs and life responsibilities outside of maintaining a game 24/7. I'm a fairly normal guy and I get my roleplay kicks playing D&D with my IRL friends. It's part of the reason I stopped playing SS13.

the big problem with admins in ss13 (and really any game that needs human admins) is the lack of accountability. If an admin is given unchecked power, it's not a matter of 'If they abuse their power' it's 'when they abuse their power'.

One of the few things I kind of like about CM and Lifeweb is that the vast majority of mechanics has stayed somewhat the same throughout the years and that no one player can do absolutely everything

Depends on server, most TG-based servers will have some form of beginner's guide that shows you all the controls and other links to jobs and antags etc etc. Just make sure you're looking up the wiki for the specific server you're playing so you're getting accurate information since the average wiki documentation is pretty solid

Are there any single-player games with mechanics SS13?
Obviously nearly all of the best moments of SS13 involved player interaction but I just want a game that lets me sit in my chem lab and autism out or work on station projects and shit like that.

If your "tactics" involve simply running straight at sec 1v1 with a toolbox and losing, then that's both a skill issue and a brain issue.
