How do I get over the fact I will never ever make that super perfect game of my dreams?

Let go of any precognitions of grandure and quit.
The world needs more direct de-escalation of peer pressured passions or hobbies.
Stop putting art, music, programming and such on this pedestal and try to find small, uncommon things instead to take a hold on.

Become a right wing grifter who rages out on TRT

Joyride will never come out

Just become a 2d or 3d animator and make your game a cartoon. Post clips, shorts, and full episodes across all the social platforms.
Obviously we all like vidya games here but making one is 30x more work.

You'll get older and eventually stop caring about video games.

Can you even explain your dream game? I don't care for a dream game, just games that would be neat.

your game is gonna go through huge changes regardless of how "perfect" you think it should be. every game does.

I'm even more pathetic because I don't have one. I just don't understand why so many games are so similar. Like for example Deadlock just released a new hero (Doorman) who can open up portals via magic doors placed on walls, and push people through them with a cart. People are creaming themselves over how unique and cool of an ability it is in a MOBA shooter but I'm like... isn't that really basic? Why is that considered the peak of game design? It just feels like the entire medium is so weaksauce.
