I went back and played fully through MHFU for the first time, and I have to say that this nigga was the most enjoyable part of the entire run. So many fucking garbage shitmons with 0 frame charges and bullshit hitboxes that linger far too long. Then you have Nargacuga, who is both hard and fair, with rollable hitboxes, telegraphed, clean, slightly complicated but predictable attack pattern, he's just fucking perfect.

Rajang, Malzeno, Fatalis, Alatreon, Rey Dau, Arkveld, Valstrax, Lunagaron, Zinogre, Vaal Hazak, Bazelgeuse, Astalos, Hermi/Ceanataur, Glavenus, Gore/Shagaru Magala and any of their variants are the best monsters I've fought in the MH games that I've played
The rest has been middling or just straight up garbage fights.

It would literally have to be the first quest in the Ancient Forest before you leave for the ice area, because you fight 2 other shitmons in the ice area and then start fighting gay variants (which they need to have in every game for some reason) and then you fight a Barioth. MonHun should've split into Dos-style and Portable-style. You could have a proper hardcore series where you have to stalk and hunt the monster, and maybe you're not even strong enough to hunt it right away so you have to gather resources via subquests, there would be no farming; then have another series that is just Rise but ideally without the spiritbirds.

I completed every monster hunter and enjoyed them all except wilds and 4u
4u has so much sovl but i really did not enjoyed going through its village, they were very easy to but now in g rank hub monsters are were to fast and fighting apex is such slog

Imagine fighting against a monster.
But your attacks bounce from 90% of their body, even attacks that cannot normally bounce from anything.
The only way to stop your attacks from bouncing is by using a fancy rock that gives you a buff for a minute. Also it has two minute cooldown.
If you do enough damage with your fancy buff you'll remove the apex effect. For around three minutes.

Like underwater it impacts half the weapons much harder too. Upkeep tax and all that. It is very satisfying to knocked them out of apex however, and they don't have colossal healthpools so you're never at risk of timing out unlike other superbosses in MH.

Any ideas you think would make a cool map? Here's mine:

Apex are optional. The thing about 4U's G-rank is that it has several very fucking annoying monsters and quests. I'll not spoil what these quests are, but in terms of key quests alone it's harder than FU and much harder than 3U.

Recently finished re-playing through every MH only using the longsword, and then every MH (where it's available) with the insect glaive. I think I'll do hammer next, but CEMU with high FPS is glitching out the spin timing in 3U, you literally cannot golfswing out of a spin.
