I would expect the movie tie-in game to be more lackluster but I never played The Curse of the Were-Rabbit so I won't argue with that. It does seem to quite differ from Project Zoo in term of gameplay from what I looked up on youtube.

King's Bounty 2 from what I've seen have oddly similar gameplay with the mix of over-the-sholder rpg and turn based homm combat. I can't say if some of the same people worked on both games, but they were both made under 1C company. I haven't played it but I feel you might be interested checking it out.

It got remake some years ago. I have to say the lack of any voice acting in the game makes it feel so odd. Like the game doesn't necessary have to be fully voiced, but seeing characters moving their mouths in complete silence in cutscenes looks just weird. They could at least put in some pseudo-ancient Egyptian mumbling if the budget was really too small to hire any voice actors.

Actually playing it right now. It's cool and comfy, I remember reading a manual for it when I was a kid and enjoying seeing all the cool weapons described in it. I remember getting stuck in some sort of a tunnel race back then, didn't get to that part yet.
Also, for me it's FREEDOM:Diegesis. I feel like there's at most a thousand people who played it, even though it's a cool puzzle platformer with amazing atmosphere and even better soundtrack.

One was a 2D sidescroller where the screen keeps moving on its own, you're some kid in a dark sewer, you can jump between platforms and monsters keep coming at you, you throw shit around in hopes of killing the things, it was played with those controllers with a stick and two buttons, very ancient shit.

Second one was some sort of powerboat racing game where you drive on water or hover over it, collect balls and drive through hoops for points, maps were full of rails, loop-de-loops and ramps that were covered in balls or had the hoops in them
very fast paced and had a very extravagant announcer screaming every time you scored "PLAY BALL" or something

OK since this is the threat I gotta shoot my shot.
I remember a game where:
In one of part of the opening cutscene, probably towards the end there was an engulfed staircase, hell like atmosphere. Maybe a demon or some monster appeared before it ends but I don't remember.
Early 2000s action/adventure game vibes. Simple environment assets, you control a guy who walks around (probably wielding a sword?). It should be vaguely similar to Rune in terms of looks and feel.
One of the first enemies you fight is a spider.
And that's all I fucking remember.

Funnily enough, there just so happens to exist a Finnish C64 game made in the 80s as a tie-in game adaptation for the Finnish comedy film "Uuno Turhapuro muuttaa maalle" (Uuno Turhapuro Moves to the Countryside), which is part of the Uuno Turhapuro movie franchise. Here's gameplay of it:

The Emergency games are great, 3 and 4 are the best ones IMO, tons of mission variety since you control all the emergency units instead of just firefighters so it can go from saving people in car wrecks to arresting terrorists and evacuating civilians from a bomb rigged cinema
surprisingly it's still alive as a series and they released a F2P version in 2023, I don't even want to think about all the microtransactions they must have shoved into it
