The way they've tried to present these new talent damage types as a 'reaction' using the same name for both is stupid, but they probably decided the idea of NEW REACTIONS was good for marketing. The reactions aren't new, they've just made characters whose damage doesn't scale with %DMG

Yeah aranara "humor", some of the sumeru desert such as the lack of voiceover for Jehts quests, and specifically Dehya were bad. BUT somehow the last area update before Fontaine was really quality it even had puzzles in the MSQ. Sumeru itself was a facelift from everything prior you can't seriously say Sumeru city and that superb soundtrack for the entire region is rivaled by any city or music afterwards. Artistically Sumeru was ridiculously good and it added new fundamental reactions to the game not like this glued on lunar DPS. This is a story region, meaning that after the story/main narrative, you will lose your excitement and fun for everything, in terms of exploration nodkrai is really boring, and in terms of setting this place is not suitable for events and such. People will get bored in nod krai after the main story ended and they will complain in social media because there's literally nothing to do in this place

The character reveals and shades trailer killed any hype I had for Nod Krai which was probably for the best as I'm liking it so far after going in with such low expectations.
I do wish the regions had been more contiguous though, if not with the rest of Teyvat then at least with each part of Nod Krai. Archipelagos are lazy and undermine the ability to explore in any direction.

I came back about 3 weeks ago playing up to just before Sumeru and am half way through Natlan, and christ do I dislike this area and its story. I would say Fontaine was by far the best but that prison section went for way too long, I can't remember if this game sort of drip feeds the content in its chapters, because I couldn't imagine waiting 2 updates just to still be running back and forth in the prison.
