I'm pretty sure we have better chances of half life 3 coming out than another episode of sin emgence. Its been what? 20 years? And the dev studio went bankrupt if I recall correctly. I did not even hear about fanmade projects because the game died at first episode so there isn't much to work with.

Slipgate's CEO had a handshake deal with Nightdive to show Blade being in the game. Idk why other than "we are so cool guyize", maybe due to SiN Reloaded?

SiN is owned by Nightdive

He was supposed to be an AI companion for part of the level but we had to cut him down to a static cutscene and some covering fire

Not really, it's run of the mill source gameplay at its absolute best but more often just janky shit that feels like some modder's solo project, also like 3 hours long. There's a reason the only thing people ever bring up about the game are the women.
