If you read the text on the various items and collectibles, it doesn't paint a good picture of him.
>Implied he was spying on people through backdoors in their cybernetics.
>Uses the AI he made to produce even more advanced tech that he no longer understood without thinking of restraining it.
>Created a grading system for worthy humans, all filtered through information gained by Mother Sphere.
>Gave a speech where he said that humanity had created its own teachers, explicitly listened to by Mother Sphere.
Mother Sphere wiping out humanity was just her putting into effect his philosophy of who mattered, after he'd given a speech basically telling her she was better than organic life.
And even afterwards, the Naytiba project was administrated by another of his AIs, so some of the blame for uh-ohing what remained of them has to fall on him.
