Beat Lace 2 after learning the moveset more, got her within five or six tries I guess. Got the act 2 final boss within three I think. Really cool fight even though I feel like it was easier than the Hollow Knight, but I'm shit at games so I struggled a lot with HK for a while until learning his moveset. I do have to say I don't quite have closure for the theory I've had so far about the the power that has Pharloom in its thrall but I imagine it will get cleared up once I get the act 3 ending.

Does Hornet have a chance of being in Smash?

I've used it a lot and I'm almost certain it "crits" when you parry an enemy attack frame 1. The issue is that basically means you have to flail wildly because how the fuck can you know when an enemy will attack and parry it immediately outside of specific moves from specific enemies. Everything from the flying enemies with projectiles that fly away from you and input read to the absolutely insane runback to the horrendous maggot mechanic (even with the charm) this entire experience was made with only tedium and frustration in mind.

The last time I felt like this about any media was watching human centipede 2 with friends after we watched the first 1 and it was kind of funny and camp in a B movie sort of way but then the 2nd just just sucks all of that out and makes the entire experience as miserable as possible and devoid of any artistic merit and it just sucked any enjoyment out of our night even though we turned it off 30 minutes in when we realized it was just misery porn.

Only a loveless soul could have created this experience. If team cherry were creating this sequence intentionally to build an edgy reputation of making a notoriously awful player experience we can only be so blessed that they are making videogames and not being the next christchurch shooters

All I can hope is that nothing left in this game comes close to the misery this zone and boss has inflicted because im too far invested to not see it all the way through

Don't think the second one is a requirement but just in case do it, and fleas is just moving them to putrified ducts. When you have all the requirements done, the dude in front of the first shrine will shout and give you the last quest to trigger act 3. And you'll see him just before the last boss.
You also probably have to do the boss (laaaaaaace) just before the last boss, then get out to take the quest at said npc

I beat the Cogwork Dancers and unlocked access to the 3 not-dreamers. Do I get locked out of anything if I go for them ? There's a bunch of places I can't go where I need either the double jump or a way to grab the rings I see lying around

I think the only places I haven't been are in the areas for the 3 not-dreamers and wherever the White Key in the Citadel lets you access
