finished goodsprings, primm, mojave and Nipton.
not counting goodsprings I got ONE quest (in mojave, kill fuckin ants), and that's it. im tired boss.

For a first playthrough I would say it clicks with you when you finish your build and become a powerhouse capable of clearing quarry junction or the brotherhood bunker. Also the branching paths are cool. You can betray everyone in this game, even your companions. Though all that was 10 years ago. It aged like milk and it's hard to overlook so I hope you're playing it modded, otherwise you should look for that viva new vegas guide or move on if it's too much work for you.

First it takes ages to mod the game with all the fixes. Second you need sprint mod, and seek the quests in the large empty open world. The quests and choices are what makes the game unironically.

Once you leave Primm there's very little interesting until you get to Camp McCarran and New Vegas proper, apart from the Repconn test site which is like one quest. The whole bottom half of the map is basically just a shooting gallery, it's a genuine case of "gets good after 15 hours."
