The secret recipe of fun.
for some reason games are great when you're at a real risk of losing and every skill you have has a serious limitation or reason why it sucks. that seems to be the recipe for fun.
I mean it feels like too much power is like too much sugar in a coffee, meanwhile too few power can feel like not enough sugar on the same drink.
also I think dificulty should come from multitasking multiple simple enemies more than a smarter or more complex AI or sponge bullet
seems like the best is to juggle between 3 diferent dangers, less than 2 and is too easy, and more than 3 is frustrating.

>I want to build the perfect bird house
>no I won’t build a bird house just to finish one and see where I went wrong and how I can improve
>No I won’t study from others, no bird house built in the last 15 years is even worth looking at
>No I won’t study the birds in my neighborhood and see what they actually look for in a bird house. I am autistic and cannot empathize with the thoughts and needs of other people so of course I cannot understand what a bird would want in a bird house. I will freely admit that my brain is missing that function.
>Yes I will go annoy carpenters to discuss breakthroughs that I may one day utilize when I build a bird house, carpentry “breakthroughs” that 14 year olds learned in shop class in high school
You are a nocarpenter.
