I using the Wanderer Crest that gives you the classic fast attack speed and Pogo jump cheating.
I demolished every boss in my way so far using it.
Its only tradeoff is lower silk generation but enemies die fast anyway now so i heal much less overall.

Easily the weakest crest in the game only used by scrubs that can't learn how to platform.

I got the regular crest upgraded and I like it best. Gives you a damage increase when you fill the meter as long as you don’t get hit. Use it with poison stuff.

Does anyone else just fucking HATE the diagonal stab with the regular crest? It just genuinely fucking sucks dick and causes me to fuck up all the time. Call it a skill issue if you want, but I have literally ZERO problems of any kind with the pogo slash and the claws jump. The diagonal stab is repositions you very badly, does not have enough length to its movement or attack hit box, and is extremely finicky at times to hit 'stab jump' objects like spikes/etc with. It's just fucking bad.

You can go call her up at bone bottom (ring on a stick to the top right of town) anytime if you meet her in an area and don't have the rosaries on hand. You don't have to buy her out of all her maps and markers at the start of the game, and she won't have much new each time you meet her later.

The early game does leave you a bit poor, but it gets better pretty quick imo

forgot to mention that the plasmium vial and architect crest have a special interaction in that if you use all vials, then bind and use more for a total of 9 you go from 10 regular 9 blue masks to 10 blue masks with all masks having a timed regen and your bind changing to only healing 1 mask at a time. it essentially has no practical use in the game currently but if they even release a true platforming challenge it will be unmatched

Not a fan of your blue tool choice, why not use quick sling, long claw or the one to reduce charge attack time? Also, Silkshot isn't that great (and cost silk), I would use Tacks, Flintslate, Voltvessels, Drill, Conchcutter, Pimpillo or Curvesickle instead. Weavelight is a free silk heart and massive speeds up silk heart recharge. Three silk hearts plus weavelight lets you refill your tools pretty much whenever you want. I would replace injectors on that build with quicksling, and replace the compass with shell satchel. Quicksling doubles your tool use each time you use a tool, effectively doubling your dps. Shell satchel gives you 50% more tool stock to maximize your architect tool refill skill. Also might want to replace the anklets with Scuttlebrace for the i-frames, but that is a personal choice

Architect charge attack is the only one I really like, too. Shame about that fucking pogo.

I feel like people are dismissing the charge attack. That thing is supremely useful for getting rid of enemies fast. Especially the assholes who give you few attack oportunities.
I only wish you would do a normal attack when releasing the button without a full charge instead of just doing nothing.

Architect, cogflies, and poison are all "You didn't beat the game tier". I briefly fucked around with architect crest, realized how broken it was as long as you can keep feeding it bone shards, and renounced all tools and reverted to hunter for the remainder of the game.

Architect crest is cheat ez mode. I would have actually have had to explore the game to beat Lace mk2 and the last boss without it. Just throw on 3 traps with the poison shit and dodge mechanics. The flies and Hornet's mid-air caltrops are good and switch between the boomerang and ground caltrops as needed.

Beast DPS goes through the roof with the buff and it's attacks are fairly fast. It's dash attack is unwieldy but really effective at keeping you air borne. If you only train with it then you're 100% fine, but you have to start the game at the beginning and never switch off. The moment you switch to a downward blade bounce you're going to get massive cognitive-dissonance. I dunno there seems to be a ton of enemies in this game designed specifically to ruin that diagonal pogo. It's one of the reasons the Repear crest is so strong. Half the enemies in this game don't know what to do if you can just bounce on their heads, they try anticipating the diagonal downslash but have no answer otherwise.

Don't know what you are talking about, I can pogo almost every enemy in the game pretty consistently (not always of course, it depends a lot in positioning). Only exception I can think of of someone who is designed to counter that strategy in particular are the cogwork teapots that pour steam diagonally.

One that stands out immediately because I just spent almost 30 minutes farming these faggots are the not-flying pin knights in Choral Chambers. It's not consistent but they do have a backdash they can unzip whenever, and even the threat of them doing it is enough to make you think twice about the pogo due to a whiff sending you into another bug in the crowd's body. I mostly use pogoing in this game as defense to keep me away from contact damage whereas in hollow Knight it was offense. That seems to be the dev vision.
Also why the fuck does a parry not count as a hit? Come the fuck on Team Cherry, if you're gonna design mobs that make you jump+parry pogo like Pure Vessel, at least let that parry register as damage so these retards don't take so long to fight.
