Because the jannies permit shitty general threads for porn games, which is why 90% of the /vrpg/ userbase is a bunch of absolute mongoloids.
The remaining 10% of users consist of 5% sane people try and fail to discuss actual RPGs (CRPGs, WRPGs), and the remaining 5% who try to pass off CYOAs as role playing games with their shitty general.

RPGs are a poisoned genre. Additionally it's full of slavs from rpg codex. A codexer named lulj was caught spamming there, and from there his reddit account was found and he made thousands of posts just robotically telling people to play shitty slav games all day. There's also rpg maker community exiles there which have enormous amounts of baggage and drama. Plus you have the tamriel rebuilt discord openly spamming. Then you have whiny boomers who don't play anything and jerk off over the character creation screen of dark sun with various crt filters. And lastly, you have total schizos like the tales and "DRPG" guy.

So pretty much just bin the whole genre, nothing redeemable there.

I don't know but I still check it every now and then to see if a series or game I like has a thread (not too often but sometimes) and those are often better than they are worse.
