Not OP, but bullet sponge enemies are always on a scale.
There's a difference between making the enemy beefier, and turning every combat encounter into a fucking chore.
I remember in Nier running into these gold enemies, or the kung fu robot on the roof, and its like I could kill them, but it was by spending literally 30 minutes doing bullshit chip damage and dodging the same couple telegraphed attacks endlessly. It goes from being a challenge, to being a no fun chore. I mean I know I'm shitposting on /v/ so my claims to how valuable my time is are moot, but I do appreciate it when a game respects my time just a tiny little bit. And in Automata it just made me look it up online because surely I'm doing something wrong, and then it basically spoiled the multiple routes/character thing.
