I played ICO a few years ago. It was ok. I don't get all the hype. SoTC was ok too; it had some thrilling moments but I don't think I'll play it again.
I'll be out of town for a couple weeks soon with just a cheap laptop that would probably struggle with anything more demanding than ps1 games, so that said, what are some ps1 games I should play? Ideally no long RPGs.

You might be better off emulating from your phone or tablet, they are surprisingly strong. You can connect a controller via bluetooth or you can get a attachment like this.

man, in total I spent like 4 years away from home with just a cheap old laptop. lil nigga has a shitload of dead pixels and some months ago a bunch of keys stopped working. I'm planning to replace it on black friday, gonna miss the little shit. it's a 15 year old acer extensa that was capable of running quite a few pc games, on it I played stuff like the first call of duty, FEAR, the suffering, quake 4 and cry of fear (that one would crash a lot though). about ps1, I dunno, have you played silent hill?
