Funniest thing is that it's not even a puzzle. It's supposed to be just an immersive fantasy key and a lock that in lore the ancient Nords used to use and now you also gotta use since you want to get into their tombs. That's why there's zero variation in difficulty for the "puzzle" and it's always the same basic mechanism just with different pictures. It's not supposed to stump anyone, it's just fantasy flavor but with mass appeal you get some very dumb people playing your games.

I brute forced it the first time. I wasn't really expecting a fairly linear game like Skyrim to do that, it was quite the curveball.

I managed to figure out the other puzzle though, I think it was in the vampire DLC. The one where there's a book in the centre and you have to read these poems to figure out the animal code since, this time it wasn't carved into the walls like it always is

Those claws are literally the only time in the entire game you need to move the model around in the inventory to solve a puzzle.

It was created for the demo >>720364860 as "look at all our new features!!", which is empty promises made to look intelligent.

It's also completely retarded because you can brute force the puzzle in 20 seconds. So it's a feature used nowhere else, about the only puzzle in the entire game, that was created for a demo, that you can brute force in 20 seconds.

Really tells you everything you need to know about Bethesda ````creative'''' process.

Skyrim is an incredibly shallow game that only remains popular because its more of a sandbox than an RPG. People don't like Bethesda games because of their storytelling or gameplay but because they provide settings where you can fuck about without thinking too hard, this is the only reason why we don't have any current day "Skyrim Clones" because most developers mistakenly believe other aspects of Skyrim are what made it so beloved, even indies that seek to emulate the Elder Scrolls style of first person RPG end up giving the games properly involved narratives and/or genuinely challenging combat.

I didn't know you could rotate items, and when I first saw the door with it I thought that since there are 3 sets of stone кeliefs on walls in front of it, I am supposed to figure out the corresponding animal for each one... When I failed to do that, I started brute-forcing my way through them until I learned that you could rotate keys to see the code.
Even if I knew that you could rotate items, I would probably fail to think of looking under a key, because its too fucking retarded. Or maybe I am retarded, idk.

I hate this meme. They made a huge deal out of how you could rotate objects when viewing them at the time of release, so obviously everyone would rotate objects looking for clues. No one was that retarded.
Anonymous No.720383240 [Report]
>>720382759
If you did not watch their gameplay teaser before release, you wouldn't know about item rotating.
Console players would likely stumble upon the ability to rotate items in their inventory just by nudging the right stick, but rotating items with a mouse (and interacting with the menus with a mouse) is janky and something you'd need to deliberately probe around with to do.

I think more console players realized. Must have been a subtle control difference. I only ended up noticing when some armor was angled by mistake in a ridiculous position and I googled what was wrong because I didn't remember it that way.
Anonymous No.720385113 [Report]
I knew the red and blue book were the key. I knew you could rotate objects. I knew you could interact with an object while viewing it. But this still filtered me because I didn't realize I had to rotate it to a specific orientation before interacting with it did something.
Anonymous No.720385363 [Report]
>there are two puzzles in Remnant 2 that require you to rotate an item in the inventory screen, something you generally wouldn't think to do since no other puzzle beyond these two work like that and you can miss one of them due to rng while the other can be ignored the entire game unless you picked up on a very settle hint about the specific item during the tutorial
