Wanderer crest attacks twice at fast.
This usually means twice as much damage per each boss opening.
Even on speedy bosses you can get twice as much damage from staggers.
You get more silk from all those attacks, which means even more heals and skills.
The lack of range barely matters.
It has the second best pogo in the game.

The only crest that can match this level of bullshit is the Architect crest with tool spam and it's broken charge attack.

The more I play it, the more I realize that it's just fundamentally flawed in ways that the other crests aren't, or are to a lesser degree. For example, the pogo and sprint attacks both have awful frame data, meaning Hornet hurls her hitbox into the enemy before there's an active hitbox. And the tool slots are obviously terrible for no discernible reason. It's bizarre.

And the healing. Jesus Christ, the healing. First off, your screen violently flashes red and white every time you heal off of a hit, making you that much more likely to get hit because you can't see what the FUCK is happening. This actually needs to be patched immediately. Second, you'll learn to despise the sight of silk spools. They're a cruel joke with beast crest.

What? Healing is great with Claw Mirror and Multi Thread, it's a stronger Thread Storm so you don't have to contemplate whether to save your silk for attacking or healing, also 3 blue slots, which has the most competition for useful shits.
It's only good for boss tho, most mobs die before you can get full healing from it, and useless for platforming unless you're a god since you can't heal.

The runback for the latter was pretty annoying but at some point I got used to it. I think I died more to the fly, those goons it summons really were the bane of my existence. I had to try harder and use 4 fingers on the back buttons, had to rewire my brain for it since it had been a while.
Groal would have been such a pain in the ass if I didn't have that drill item from the Sands of Karak, first time I have used tools for a boss fight, Groal itself wasn't hard to dodge but he left very little in terms of openings. I was initially disappointed by the lack of true climactic story for Silksong like the Radiance getting bent over but I feel the more I think about it, Hornet's character development and the shit about motherhood in the game is fine now.

I love Ongbal, but it's honestly not that hard to practice his approach. The reason he's so consistently good at boss fights is because he has a method: he identifies an optimal output for every input and then performs it. He positions himself so that he can identify every attack and punish it in an identical way to minimize his mental load.

I'm right at that edge with this game, where I can do what they ask from me, but I'm never able to play intuitively. Everything goes against what I would do naturally. So I have to force myself into an unnatural cadence. I hate it. This is what pissed me off with Elden Ring's combat.

Beastfly is a shit boss and not at all indicative of the difficulty of the game. He's got ridiculously bloated HP, his summons are an rng crapfest of luck (if he summons two fliers or big flier + anything else just reset the fight honestly) and the arena is ridiculously small for manoeuvring.
Nothing else in this game has been this fucking bad of a boss. Dual mossqueens were fine since they only summoned ground targets, Last Judge is a single enemy so just learn the boss. Sister Splinter doesn't zone you as hard plus her ads are easier to kill. Even the Beastfly rematch is easier by virtue of more tool damage + needle upgrades.
So you're fine, just get through it as best you can and remember this isn't you, it's the game.

This is true tho, it's still quite accessible and lenient, the game isn't that demanding until Citadel. Playing Sonic games past zone 2 is often way more punishing. You loose all your lives, which aren't trivial to get, and gg, start the game over. You can restart how many times you want in Silksong and never loose much progress until endgame areas. Platforming sections are short and respawn you close, until last areas too.

Cogwork Dancers really felt like the Mantis Lords of the game, both were very methodical fights. Getting through each phase and seeing how the next would change things was pretty neat, I don't know why but I thought it was just going to be a mini-boss or something when I knocked them down the first time and they went back into their slots, so them getting into the faster synced phase was a pleasant surprise and I kinda figured the desync phase was going to be a thing but I really liked how they warned the player that it was happening beforehand by having them get rewound up out of sync. Three projectiles you need to just move or run to one side while being cautious of Lace because she can just jump out in front of you and deal you damage
Six balls that turns into sawblades you need to either go away from them or go under her, hit her 1/2 times while she is in air and maybe 1 more hit when she land and then jump
Tendrils she summons from ground... you just need to watch out for them, there is no really good way to dogde them
For two big sawblades she summons while in transition phase and during her 3 phase you just need to wall jump over them
