Motherfucker I was there playing naughty dog games since the first crash game. The studio was never about """one person's vision""" until the first Last of Us and a post apocalyptic setting is hardly original. The AI before release was hyped up... and then it was so fucking underwhelming once I got to play it. The game and Neil fucking over Amy, Bruce, and anyone else who was in his way killed all interest in any other games made by the studio, I STILL haven't played Uncharted 4 when I basically played the first three to death.

There was a niche but notable hatebase when the first game released, mostly due to fatigue of moviegames, zombie apololypse stories, gruff-dude-with-surrogate-daughter stories, and games that tried too hard to be taken seriously as art.

The hatebase grew when TLOU2 released and was much worse than the first game and ruined characters that people liked, and the hatebase grew again when people got sick of the endless TLOU remakes and remasters Sony/Naughty Dog shoveled out in lieu of new games, and grew again when Ellie got cast terribly in the HBO show, and grew again when people realized how much of an insufferable zionist cuck Druckman is, and grew again when S2 of the HBO show released and the show-only normies were exposed to all the problems with the 2nd game's story plus new show-specific fuckups.
