Is there any way to, like, lock down a room in case something happens and nobody is in to keep it open? We've lost puzzles before due to power outages and such.

I believe the website uses your ram to host the game. Maybe check your ram space when hosting a game. You can also try another web browser. Chrome tends to use a shit ton of ram. Also check your internet connections and splice points in your home. If you are on a coax connection it may have some issues with interference if there is an open circuit. If you leave a coax port open and make phone calls the open circuit can send that signal in and interrupt your internet speeds. Get some 75 ohm terminators and close those circuits if possible. If it continues, call your cable provider and have someone come in and check your signals. It could also be a faulty router and/or modem.

Rooms are never deleted even if all people leave the room, unless the self-destruct option was used when creating the room, or a host uses the room delete command.

Wait, really? In my experience if nobody in my group holds the room active then after a few minutes the puzzle's image just straight-up disappears for everyone when we rejoin. The puzzle itself is still there, it's just greyed out. I start the rooms and definitely don't have them rigged to self-destruct.
