What game/How did you respond? For me, it was Pokemon Red Rescue. I was on an aqua dungeon(kyogre?) with my lvl 38~ Charizard &Blastoise. I was so devastated, I never made a new save. She didn't know any better as she was like 5 so I kinda just moved on.

For me it was No More Heroes. I had collected nearly every dumb collectible and only had the post endgame stuff to do. Needless to say I never played 2.

By post endgame I mean that there was still one more boss. I think it was secret or something. Actually, maybe it was just the final boss. Whatever the case, I missed out on at least one boss fight.
