In any good game, controls are easy to learn but the game can still become more difficult.
Have you ever played Mario?
Notice how simple the controls are. You learn how to play and do all the moves within mere seconds.
The game's challenge increases as the level design gets more hazardous.
Fighting games, on the other hand, aren't like this.
The hazards never change.
The CONTROLS themselves are retardedly designed, that's where the challenge comes from. You need to spends hours and hours of practice just to be able to consistently perform all the moves you need in order to simply play the game at all.
Imagine you're playing Mario, but in order to jump and move right at the same time, you need to hit a EMS tilt in the left direction before flicking back to right within the firstr three frames of the animation, and then press "L" in order to cancel the end lag so that you can turn around to prevent your momentum from transfering to the ground in order to regain control of your character as they land.
Wouldn't that be retarded?
Fighting game players disagree.
