The first (yes, there's a second one) mobile remake that later got ported to Switch and PS4. Take a closer look and you'll notice it's full of mixels and tiling issues.

I played the mobile version specifically because it lacked mixels and those issues, is that the second mobile version you talked about?
there was actually a guy that backported the better sprites to the switch versions of dq1 and 2 but didn't do it for 3 because the remake was announced and he thought it was a waste of time

The original seiken densetsu (final fantasy adventure) had two remake. The first being a pretty shitty GBA game (sword of mana) that tried to run off of the horribly floaty secret of mana style combat. The second being an absolute fucking masterpiece and a true hommage to the spirit of the original (adventures of mana)

Aparently there was another one that came in-between but I never saw it. A phone thing.

They did do a remix of the original using SoT assets, it was an extra in SoT
