I liked the world and the larger premise of the Fabula Nova series, it was disappointing that the entirety of the initial plan never came about.

I like what they did with Eidolons.
I like Lightning and really like when she uses her military issued gravity magic to get places faster.

The combat was actually pretty fun. Switching paradigms made sense strategically and there were actually strategies compared to older FFs where you spammed Heal + Ultima/KOTR/Attack/LB.

Some of the best combat in Final Fantasy and 100x better than whatever 16 was.

I liked lightnings design too.

Obviously, the story, characters, plot, and map design was complete dog shit. But there were some good things about it. Like the post-game.

Speaking of which I was going to grind it out and beat Long Gui soon.

They had to get the fps for the open world from somewhere. Crystal Tools at its "finest". The whole path from XIII to XIII-2 to LR is a path of sacrificing image quality for the sake of expanding the corridor the player was driven into in XIII. I would say that in LR the world, although big, is a lil bit empty. The structure of the world in XIII-2, on the other hand, is very balanced and interesting: many cleverly hidden secrets, many optional locations, the locations themselves are small but rich in content, the picture is not as miserable as in LR.

P.S. I remember low poly doggy with warmth. By the way, he's is also found in the original.

I would want them to restore the cut areas in XIII-2 and LRXIII. They are a bit light on content and that would really help. Fixing XIII-1's combat would also be a nice bonus, but not necessary and I'm not into ruining others' fun, even if I can't see why they would like it.

the game is already on pc, and that's all that matters
the purpose of remasters is primarily to release the game that isn't available on pc onto pc, that is the only thing that makes it worthwhile doing so in terms of sales. the added pc sales to a new market is what tips it over from waste of money into good use of money and reasonably profitable
