Hard agree. TNO had that gritty charm and at least made you feel like some effort went into the world. II just felt like a parade of nonsense scenes stitched together with spaghetti code. Wasted all its goodwill on shock value and clumsy politics instead of refining gameplay. You can tell they wanted to make an “important” game instead of a fun one, and it shows in every cringe monologue and jarring tonal shift.
