Even ignoring the performance issues, the game still looks bad. The AI is easily the worst in the series and it's concerning me that more people aren't talking about this. The AI quite literally will just stand around doing nothing half the time, you will often have to go back and look for the last enemies who are just standing in a corner staring at a wall for whatever reason. And even when they do look at you they barely attack and when they do attack they barely hit you.

This was not a problem in three or two.

Haven't had much chance to play it(mainly waiting on busier friends to coop together) but so far seems pretty good. Ordnance + the heal stims are a welcome change and the added mobility from glide is nice. Writing seems better than BL3 or at least they've toned down the worst parts. Even the VHs seem more grounded. Well at least rafa(Hitting and sometimes missing with the funny hispanic/latino shctick) and Vex( relatively normal aside from power-tripping and the worst case of resting bitch face), our 3rd guy plays amon and dude is clearly in the wrong genre but plays the paladin hard enough that it loops back to enjoyable

My God this game is good. Not gonna spoil anything but the story is really dark so far. Still has classic Borderlands humor though. The movement is next level, the gunplay is amazing. I LOVE the open world. So many collectibles. I’ve heard there isn’t too much to the end game but honestly I don’t even know when I’m gonna get to the end game. I’m having so much fun just exploring and doing the campaign.

Game runs better than BL3 for me (I have a 4070ti, m:2 SSD, and an i7 I think). Not saying it can’t be optimized better but I’m getting 150 fps consistently so I can’t complain too much. Menus are smooth.

Harlowe is so much fun. Picking people up and smashing them into others is soooo satisfying.

Don’t get me started on random world events and activities. I’ll be going to do a side quest, run into a world boss, go back to what I was doing and find an altar thing that shows me where orbs are that I need to collect, finally get the side quest, as I’m traveling to the objective get another world boss. It’s insane. The world feels so alive and rewarding!

My only real complaint is no minimap. I am getting used to there being no minimap but it has been a painful transition. Hopefully they add one but if they don’t I’ll be fine.
