Here's the thing, the maps I did play in Engage were ok compared to 3H.
But what's the point if your game is just SSB Brawl plotwise for Fire Emblem? 3H had pretty crummy maps and shit and terrible repetition and I was still somehow more engaged for what was a pretty messy plot at best.

It wasn't really great, but it was a hell of a lot more engaging than Engage and kept me hooked despite issues that are just obvious. In fact, I've talked about it more than Awakening so it's doing something right. And the way the gameplay built around it was just more interesting, even though it wasn't quite fully fleshed.
