Dread and Zero Mission are my favorite. Prime 2 is probably my favorite Prime. Other M was a lot of fun. Good luck with your thread anon.

Replaying the series and streaming it for buddies starting with Zero mission. It's a great series that has some seriously great games. Despite the market being oversaturated with "Metroidvania" almost none of them play anything like Metroid itself.

I enjoyed Zero Mission, but I thought the titular mission itself kind of dragged the pace down. Overall I preferred Fusion, in the end. It had a stronger atmosphere, even if it was more linear. Metroid on the GBA.

Trying Planets and playing through X-Fusion lately. Despite how ridiculous it is at times, X-Fusion might be my new favorite SM rom hack.
Does anyone else think Planets might just become its own game? They'd have to replace some tiles, sprite work, and music, but it would be doable.

I'm mad about the bike.
But honestly, the worst part about the whole thing is how they just slipped Prime 4 in between all the other crap they were showing, like they weren't proud of it.
You could have shown me the same exact trailer, literally the same exact trailer, and presented it as a cool "one more thing" release date reveal at the end of the direct and I probably would have been more excited even if the trailer was exactly the same.

Fusion is the best one and yes I WILL fight you over it

Yeah, this was the strangest thing about that trailer. I'd have expected to see it given it's own dedicated little segment, although not for it to have closed the direct. The marketing for the game has been weird since it started, though, so it's nothing new.

They weird handling of the Prime games is nothing new, Prime Remastered was a shadow drop, any other company would have been proud as fuck to re-release one of the best games ever, maybe someone doesn't like that idea that the 3D variety of Metroid is Prime and not wathever Other M tried to be.
