Not the guy you replied to but the game kind of goes to shit after the first region. I had mad fun the first 50ish hours of the game the 2nd region feels pretty shit. They also fucked the balance in I think it was 1.3 patch I went back to finish it and kept getting HEEMed by bandits with barely any armour. I think they released 1.4 maybe that fixed things but the combat in general was improved and made worse in equal measure from the first game. I preferred the jank to getting in constant long ass attack/counter attack loops. Expedition 33 wasn't perfect either the game kind of fell off at the end but I'd say that will take GOTY

OP you are right its an absolutely amazing game and its what the devs originally wanted in KCD1. RPG games are always some fantasy slop, so its nice we finally have an RPG that's based on real history. But no one on /v/ actually played KCD2. They just hear there is a Jew and Black Guy in the game and assume its the worst game ever made (and funnily enough they were added in to trigger the anti-woke crowd).

Plenty of people talked about it a ton on release and it's still getting DLC releases. There's some faggot content and one black dude but the biggest issue that pissed people off was them basically having no churches you could enter (first game had at least 3) and the Jewish pogrom part of the story

Voice actors being fucked around and a very squandered roster of NPCs like Dry Devil basically having no reason to exist etc

It has nice castle interiors but otherwise just felt like a badly knitted together experience overall

Making Henry bisexual or even bicurious after his character was already established in the first game makes no sense to me either way. Henry to me is my playthrough of KCD and that was great, he had a girlfriend at the beginning of the game and another one by the end (herself being a main character in one of the DLCs). To me that's Kingdom Come. What they did with KCD2 is ridiculous and taints it with an air of evil and sexual menace I refuse to support.

The ending where you spare Markvart von Aulitz's suffering by giving him a merciful death is probably one of the greatest Kino moments in all of vidya. I really got choked up seeing all of the anger drain from Henry's eyes, blessing him the sign of the cross after he breathed his last breath. It was a really touching moment showcasing honor and Christian morality. The music was beautiful as well.
